Heart (not the band), coffee & Van Halen

Okay, so it turns out I have arrhythmia! That would explain the disturbance I was feeling in my ticker. Apparently this is pretty common and I need to do the following: get more rest, drink more water and leave behind stimulants. WHA?!?! Stimulants?! That means coffee. And I love coffee. I got to know my wife over coffee in Kansas City. It's what we did! It's what we do! It helps start our day, it gives me an excuse to leave the office and I can't imagine days without it. It smells great and tastes delicious. And now I have to begin weening myself off of my sweet, sweet love. It is a dark day....stupid heart.

And just when you thought the dark day couldn't get any darker, I just found out that the Van Halen show (with Diamond Dave) in St. Louis has been postponed due to a "scheduling conflict." Wow. That's lame. It wasn't even like our city went down in flames with Chicago, Memphis and Detroit. Just St. Louis (as far as I know). $150 to see 3 old dudes on stage with a teenager play great rock from the 70s and 80s. But I have seen he YouTube videos and the boys are playing well...with a set list that includes some seriously kick dick rock (Atomic Punk, Romeo Delight, etc). I guess we'll just have to wait....single tear.

Working and stuff

So I am working on a beautiful day. Who isn't? Well, I know some that aren't, but I can't be concerned with that. My job is good, pretty manageable and positive. Being a graphic designer with a great, understanding boss is a rarity. I think I'll work here until I am dead. Or the place bursts into flames.

Speaking of my death, I am having some funky heart palpitations. Don't worry, perfect stranger, I am getting checked out by my friend/nurse practitionar tonight. I have been stressing over the band's cd and cd release party (I am in a band called LucaBrasi) and other things, like my wife and my clothing line Mammal. We always have lots going on outside of the day job... and I probably drink too much coffee.

Things I have done with the Internet

I have sailed the seas of Al Gore's interwebs and purchased music from iTunes. I have used email daily for years, watched movies on YouTube and gotten into eBay auctions (in both winning and losing situations). I have wrangled concert and sports tickets as well as hotel and plane tickets. I have gotten maps. I have promoted my band, given to political campaigns and read spoilers on movies.

What have I not done? Well, I have not written a daily diary that I post online for anyone (and everyone) to read. So here I am doing just that. Who will care? Who knows? It will be a test to see if I can keep up with it...for those who do care. Who those people are, I have no idea.
